The Maryland Department of the Environment has just released their new guidance document for implementing the 2009 stormwater management regulations. The guidance reflects the grandfathering and redevelopment agreement reached earlier this Session by various stakeholders, including MACo. The key provisions of the guidance document will be introduced as emergency regulations. Those regulations are in the final stages of preparation for publication in the Maryland Register.
Hearings for the various stormwater bills have been cancelled, although the bills will not be withdrawn. The bills will remain in case the emergency regulations are not adopted.
