Bowie State University Launches Post-Incarceration Scholarship Program

Funding for a post-prison scholarship program at Bowie State University (BSU) quickly reached an endowment-level investment of $25,000. BSU has offered courses for incarcerated individuals during their detainment at the Jessup Correctional Institute since early 2022. Maryland State Department of Education Releases Student Proficiency Test Results

Modest gains in reading and mathematics scores from Maryland's most recent standardized testing, State Superintendent calls for urgently accelerating progress. A recent press release from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) highlighted final results of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP).
