Winter #MACoCon Registration Isn’t Open Yet – But Here’s How You Can Prepare

MACo’s Winter Conference is in high demand, especially as we lead into the first legislative session of a new four-year term. Registration isn’t open yet, but here’s everything you can do to prepare to register as soon as it’s ready.

Conference Details:

  • Date: January 6-8, 2027 – with a special pre-conference Newly Elected Officials Orientation for new county officials only (County Executives, County Commissioners, and County Council Members)
  • Location: Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel, Cambridge, MD
  • View Attendee Registration Fees – registration will open soon!
  • Hotel Reservations:
    • Blocks at the Hyatt will be released soon. Blocks will also be available at the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge and the Holiday Inn Easton. We also suggest booking on Airbnb or VRBO – there are condos on the Hyatt property available for short-term rental.
    • Priority for Hyatt reservations will be given to new and returning county elected officials, county department leaders, state officials and legislators, and MACo Corporate Partners.
    • Reservations may be booked BEFORE registering for the conference, but registration is REQUIRED to keep a reservation at the Hyatt. Reservations without matching registrations by Nov 13 will be cancelled (exceptions will be made for candidates with unconfirmed election results).
    • To be added to the Hyatt waitlist, email aduncan@mdcounties.org with your name, title, organization, check-in and check-out dates, and type of conference participation (attendee, exhibitor, sponsor)

Registration Preparation:

(for ATTENDEES & EXHIBITORS)

  • All participants (attendees, booth staff – and those registering colleagues) must be in MACo’s events registration system, Engagifii.
  • Even if you are not registering, but are registering other people, you MUST have your own account in Engagifii to do so.
  • Anyone who attended MACo’s 2026 Summer Conference is already set up with an account.

CHECK ACCOUNT ACCESS or REQUEST AN ACCOUNT:

  • Not sure if you have an account? Go here, input your email address, and complete the Forgot Password process. If you have an account, you’ll receive an email to re-set your password and log in.
  • Not sure if a colleague has an account? Log into Engagifii with your account info, go to My Area, My Organization, then the People tab – if your colleague has an account, they’ll be listed there.

We STRONGLY recommend checking to be sure you and your colleagues have accounts as soon as possible.

Exhibit Show:

  • Dates: January 6-7, 2027
  • Registration Timeline: Exhibitors from the 2025 Winter Conference will be given first pick of exhibit tables. Registration will open to the public after their 2-week first-look period.
  • BEFORE REGISTERING: be sure your booth staff are in our Engagifii system. You will not be able to register without including them. See Registration Preparation instructions above.
