Maryland’s energy landscape is changing quickly, and the intersection of artificial intelligence, infrastructure, affordability, and innovation will take center stage at the 2026 Maryland Clean Energy Summit, October 13-14 at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.

Hosted by the Maryland Clean Energy Center, this year’s Summit, “New Frontiers: AI, Energy & Innovation,” will bring together state officials, policymakers, utility representatives, energy experts, innovators, advocates, nonprofits, and industry leaders for two days of conversations about Maryland’s energy future. This year’s packed agenda features eight roundtable discussions, eight breakout sessions, four plenaries, and six networking opportunities.

The opening plenary will explore the convergence of artificial intelligence and grid infrastructure, including the technical and policy solutions needed to optimize the grid while supporting future AI demand. Other sessions will dig into energy affordability, reliability, waste management and energy solutions, battery storage, workforce development, building decarbonization, and energy security.

For county and local government leaders, the agenda also includes conversations with direct local connections, including financing clean energy and resilience projects for local governments and nonprofits and strategies for navigating infrastructure, permitting, and development challenges.
