Current Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater (D) will move on to the November general election.

In Frederick, County Executive Fitzwater was uncontested in the Democratic primary race. Republican candidates Diane Fouche (R) and William J. Holtzinger (R) faced off in the primary with Holtzinger appearing to edge out Fouche by 14 points.
