St. Mary’s County Releases 2026 Health Status Report

A newly released health report from the St. Mary’s County Health Department provides a comprehensive look at the factors shaping health outcomes across the county.

St. Mary's County SealThe St. Mary’s County Health Department has released its 2026 Health Status Report, providing an overview of community health trends and challenges across the county.

The report compiles the latest available data on a wide range of health indicators, including population demographics, social drivers of health, behavioral health, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, chronic conditions, disability, and mortality. The report is intended to help local leaders, community organizations, healthcare providers, and residents make informed decisions about programs and investments that improve health outcomes.

In addition to the report itself, St. Mary’s has expanded access to local health information through a series of interactive online dashboards that allow users to explore data in greater detail and track trends over time. The dashboards are updated regularly and designed to provide real-time insights into emerging health issues and community needs.

From the report:

The report tells us where we are – but our real strength is in how we use the data. Our dashboards make this information accessible in real time so partners can act quickly, stay aligned, and focus on what will impact health and wellness for our community, said Dr. Meena Brewster, St. Mary’s County Health Officer.
