The Rural Maryland Council (RMC) has opened its Fiscal Year 2027 grant cycle, offering funding opportunities to support economic development and
long-term sustainability in rural communities across the state.
The application process includes two phases, beginning with a Letter of Intent due by May 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. This year’s cycle includes more than $6 million in funding for two key programs:
- Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF)
- Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund (MAERDAF)
These programs support a range of local initiatives, including economic development, workforce development, agriculture, and community infrastructure.
Additionally, RMC will be hosting in-person grant information sessions to walk through the application process and program requirements:
