Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, in partnership with the Howard County Conservancy, will host the Maryland Climate Forward Forum on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Columbia, MD. MACo is pleased to share this invitation on behalf of Howard County.
Join local officials, practitioners, policymakers, and private sector partners to share strategies, forge partnerships, and drive Maryland’s continued progress on climate and sustainability.
This half-day forum is a call to action in light of the void in national climate leadership. Maryland has led by setting some of the most ambitious climate goals among U.S. states. Now is the time to come together to strengthen state and local and state efforts to advance climate and environmental justice, secure energy independence, bolster resilience, boost economic competitiveness, and create good jobs.
Event Highlights Include:
- A fireside chat with MD Secretary of Commerce Harry Coker, Jr., and MD Energy Administration Director Paul Pinsky to discuss how to advance public and private sector collaboration on climate.
- Breakout sessions with experts from a variety of MD jurisdictions to share lessons learned, perspectives, and resources that drive climate progress forward.
- An optional afternoon tour featuring resiliency projects from the Historic Ellicott City “Safe & Sound” program.
