The Howard County Council is currently seeking qualified applicants interested in serving on the Inspector General Advisory Board, which will oversee
the County’s new Office of the Inspector General.
Each Councilmember shall nominate one individual to serve on the Board, with an additional At-Large member who a majority of the County Council will select. The County Executive shall also nominate an individual to serve on the Board, for a total of seven members.
Qualified applicants should have professional experience relevant to the job of the Advisory Board, including, but not limited to:
- Inspectors general, auditors, investigators or similar government accountability officers;
- Members of professional associations of inspectors general, certified fraud examiners, or certified public accountants;
- Former judges or prosecutors; or
- Other similar investigative or related experience in the work of an inspector general
