Nearly $1B Available From Federal Clean School Bus Rebate Program

A webinar with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), taking place tomorrow at 1 p.m., will walk local and state officials through a funding opportunity with the Clean School Bus Rebate Program.

Last week, the EPA announced the latest round of funding from the Clean School Bus Rebate Program. Up to $965M are available to school districts across the country. As part of this funding opportunity, the EPA would like to invite local school districts and county governments to a briefing on this latest funding opportunity.

Briefing details below:

  • What: Briefing on EPA Clean School Bus Program Announcement
  • Who: EPA Office of Air and Radiation Senior Officials
  • When: Tuesday, October 1, 1:00-1:30pm ET
  • Where: https://usepa.zoomgov.com/j/1613868952

This latest funding opportunity builds on nearly $3B worth of funds already invested in the effort to get more clean school buses on the roadways across the country. The initiative is part of the federal Investing in America program that seeks to accelerate the transition of the nearly 500,000 school buses in America to cleaner technologies.
