On October 1st, Maryland Latinos Unidos (MLU) will host the third event in its Pathways to Progress series: Advancing Latine Wealth Creation and
Economic Growth in Maryland.
This exciting half-day summit will take place at Prince George’s Community College from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and will bring together a dynamic group of leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community advocates.
The Pathways to Progress series aims to shine a spotlight on the challenges faced by the Latine community in Maryland while identifying ways to foster economic resilience and prosperity. This event is part of MLU’s ongoing effort to address systemic barriers and create opportunities for wealth creation within the Latine community across the state.
Participants will hear from expert panelists, network with peers, and collaborate to develop actionable regional strategies to enhance economic mobility. The summit will explore critical topics, including:
- Increasing Access to Capital: Addressing financial inclusion and expanding access to capital for Latine entrepreneurs and small business owners.
- Workforce and Small Business Development: Discussing strategies to strengthen workforce development and create long-term career pathways for economic stability.
- Access to Asset Building: Identifying barriers to homeownership and wealth-building opportunities for Latine families.
- Policy Advocacy: Exploring policy changes that can reduce the wealth gap and improve economic mobility within the Latine community.
