While program eligibility for Medicaid is being re-evaluated across the nation, making sure residents understand their coverage options is vital. The additional support comes at a time when the renewal process has not been without challenges, such as accidental cancellations that have happened in a number of states.

The Health Care Connection Division of the Frederick Health Department provides walk-in hours five days of the week and set up an additional touch point for support at their second location. Even if residents are not viable candidates for Medicaid, specialists will walk interested individuals through a number of available resources.
