Fun Fact: Howard County Hosts Annual Summer of Art

Summers are filled with barbeques, concerts, festivals, outdoor activities and so much more. As the summer season kicks off, the town of Columbia, in Howard County, offers multi-weekend art festivals.

Each weekend The Columbia Festival of the Arts has events to celebrate music, art, and entertainment. Starting in June with their Lakefest, Downtown Columbia, offers a free, three-day outdoor celebration.  They offer live performances, children’s activities, fine arts, craft shows, hands-on workshops, and outdoor food options.

As noted by the Columbia Festival of the Arts, “The days following LakeFest are comprised of a variety of free and ticketed events, including performances in multiple disciplines, master classes, workshops, fine art exhibitions, literary offerings, film and frequent opportunities to interact directly with artists.”
