Many events have been taking place throughout the holiday season to show that the Prince George’s Police Department is a partner in the community.
Public safety institutions have a phenomenal responsibility when it comes to earning and keeping the trust of the public. This a sentiment not at all lost on the Prince George’s Police Department. From a Toys for Tots holiday collection drive to providing 2000 holiday food baskets to community members in need, these officers are taking their commitment to public trust very seriously.
Check out the twitter feed of the @PGPDNews to see how officers help keep the public trust alive whether there is an emergency and even more so when there is not.
These individuals police the streets, care for justice-involved individuals, and, literally, run into danger to save citizens in crisis. For communities to thrive, individuals need to feel like someone has their back if and when they need a hand. This concept is the focus of MACo’s Winter Conference session, “Safety First: Counties Delivering for Secure Communities.”
MACo’s Winter Conference, “Hit the Ground Running,” will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, MD from January 4-6, 2023 (with a pre-conference orientation for new county officials on January 3).
