At the MACo Summer Conference 2022 meeting of the Human Resources Affiliate, members elected new leadership and celebrated the upcoming retirement of Carroll County Human Resources Director Kim Frock.
At the 2022 MACo Summer Conference, the Maryland Association of Human Resources Officers, also known as the MACo Human Resources (HR) Affiliate, met over an informative luncheon to conduct organizational business, including electing a new slate of affiliate leadership.
The Maryland Association of Human Resources Officers fosters and improves the working relationships between agencies, organizations, and individuals with responsibility for human capital management and human resources in Maryland counties and Baltimore City. The association promotes the establishment and development of effective human resources practices and improves the knowledge and skills of human resources officers through mutual sharing of information. Members of the Association are human resources directors, chief human capital officers and other management-level officers designated as representatives of the member jurisdiction.
As part of the group’s regularly business luncheon, the Affiliate held elections to replace retiring leadership, including outgoing Affiliate President Kim Frock. Frock is the Director of Human Resources of Carroll County, where she has led the department since 2013. Prior, she served in Carroll County government in a variety of roles, including as the County’s health benefits and compensation manager. Frock will retire later this year after decades of county service. Frock’s fellow HR Affiliate members honored her at the August 19 working lunch.
The HR Affiliate elected the following officers to lead the group:
- Affiliate President: Tiffany Stephens, Director, Department of Human Resources, Harford County
- Affiliate Vice President: Beverly Churchill, Director, Human Resources, Queen Anne’s County
- Affiliate Secretary: Sherry Bratton, Director of Human Resources, Caroline County
