Caroline County Economic Development to Host Caroline Economic Symposium on June 2, 2022, at 8:30-12:00PM at 65 Engerman Avenue, Denton Maryland (Donovan Marine Building)
Join Caroline County Economic Development for a high-level review and forecast of the economic state of our country, region, and the Eastern Shore. Their expert group of industry leaders will discuss recent economic transformations and offer analysis on current conditions and strategies. The symposium will also feature the Economic Resiliency Toolkit, a resource that gives decisions makers information to understand long-term economic trends and anticipate future challenges.
“We are hosting the Symposium with the support of great partners: Talbot County Economic Development and Tourism, Dorchester County Economic Development, the Mid Shore Regional Council, the Tri-County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore, the Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board, the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, and the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative. This group banded together at the start of the pandemic in 2020 to work to bring information and data on the impact of the closures and workforce issues from COVID-19. During the Symposium, there will be a demonstration of the toolkits that have been developed from this project.” Stated Director, Debbie Dowden. “This Symposium is a chance for attendees to get information and insight into how industries are coping with the pressure of supply chain, labor market, and inflation. It will also be an opportunity to network with business leaders from the mid-shore region” (County press release).
