WYPR Public Radio’s “On The Record” offers a quick trip through the top issues facing the 2022 General Assembly – give a listen!

On The Record is WYPR’s daily news and analysis show, hosted by Sheilah Kast, frequently focusing on topics of local interest. On the day before the start of the 2022 General Assembly session, they hosted two on-the-scene reporters covering the Annapolis beat to discuss major issues they anticipate taking up attention in the deliberations ahead.

From district drawing to cannabis reforms, crime initiatives and tenant protections, Baltimore Sun state politics reporter Pamela Wood and Maryland Matters editor Danielle Gaines offer their views on the high profile, and most interesting issues facing the legislature during this session, already complicated by the confluence of post-census redistricting and Maryland’s quadrennial election cycle (where all seats of both chambers are up for election).
