Montgomery College will Require Staff and Students to be Vaccinated or Tested Weekly

Montgomery College will require all staff and students to either show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or be tested weekly for the spring semester.

Thinking ahead to spring semester 2022, Montgomery College announced last week that all employees must submit proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 8, and students must do so by January 7.

Notably, the college’s vaccination requirement will also apply to high school students who take dual enrollment courses at the college.

“If students and employees embrace a vaccination requirement, we will strengthen the safety of our campuses and their homes and the communities in which they live,” said Montgomery College Interim President Charlene Dukes.

Staff and students who have approved medical or religious exemptions will be subject to weekly COVID testing. The college currently has two vaccination and testing sites at its Rockville and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses and is planning to open a third in Germantown.
