Interactive Map: See Which Local School Boards Require Masks, Vaccines

There is no statewide school mask mandate in Maryland, but as the delta variant has spread, some local school boards require masks in schools and/or vaccines for teachers and other personnel.

Other boards are tying mask requirements to the COVID-19 rate of transmission. And, while federal law requires students to wear masks on school buses, many boards opted against requiring masks in schools.

This week, the Maryland Department of Legislative Services unveiled an interactive map detailing each local school board’s policy on masks and/or vaccines. DLS will update the map as policies change.

The interactive map is available on the Maryland Department of Legislative Services website.
