Queen Anne’s Announces Major Broadband Expansion

Queen Anne’s County today announced partnerships with Atlantic Broadband, Talkie Communications, and ThinkBig Networks to significantly expand broadband access to unserved and underserved areas. State and federal recovery funds will complement local initiatives to bring high-speed internet to several areas across the County.

“Expansion of Broadband is great news for all of Queen Anne’s County, said County Commissioner Jack Wilson. “It is encouraging to see so many new companies expanding into our under-served areas, and the infusion of new money will hopefully allow the expansion to continue.”

According to a County press release:

Atlantic Broadband will build to portions of:

  • Granny Branch Road
  • Price Station Road
  • Massey Ave
  • Hayden Avenue
  • Hayden Estates Subdivision
  • Willow Branch
  • Cuff’s Hollow Subdivision

Think Big will build to portions of:

  • Duhamel Corner and Busic Church Road
  • High Bridge Road
  • Small portion of Route 300 west of Peters Corner Road

Talkie Communications will build to portions of:

  • Burchard Sawmill Road
  • Ewingtown Road
  • Bowers Road
  • Pondtown Road
  • Double Creek Road
