MACo is thrilled to announce that Victoria Maas has joined our team to spearhead communications efforts!

Victoria joined MACo this week and will take the lead role with communications, social media, MACo’s blog, and digital advocacy campaigns. As part of MACo’s Member Services team, she will amplify the efforts of the Association in championing the needs of county governments and help deliver the broad array of educational, cost-savings, and best practice opportunities that are among MACo’s hallmarks.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to add Victoria to our team,” said Executive Director Michael Sanderson. “She brings to the table a combination of deep experience in Maryland’s legislative sphere and strong talent in communications. We know she’s going to do great things with and for the Association.”
Victoria’s professional experience includes freelance marketing and social media consultation, along with communications and legislative support for the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney, the Library of Congress, and the MD House of Delegates. She also served as a Public Service Scholar in Governor Hogan’s Communications Office, where she assisted in managing social media and drafting speeches and talking points. Victoria has managed large-scale internal and external communications and publications for an Annapolis-area church and has taught courses in Spanish and English for ESL learners. Victoria holds a BA in English and Political Science (Spanish Minor) from Washington College in Chestertown, MD, where she served as Student Government Association President and graduated Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors.
