The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting applications through July 31, 2021 for the current Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program grant round.
The Land and Water Conservation Fund provides 50/50 matching grants to state and local governments to acquire or develop public outdoor recreational areas and facilities.
The Department of the Interior has announced that the National Park Service (NPS) will distribute $150 million to local communities through the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) grant program. The ORLP, which was established in 2014, is a nationally competitive grant program available to census designated urbanized areas (populations of 50,000 or more). Priority is given to projects which are located in economically disadvantaged areas lacking in outdoor recreation opportunities. Project sponsors must contribute a minimum dollar-for-dollar non-federal matching share to the project. Grant assistance for eligible projects can range from a minimum of $300,000 up to a maximum of $5,000,000.
DNR will accept applications through July 31, 2021.
