Queen Anne’s County names Nichole Hepfer Director of Budget & Finance.
Queen Anne’s County today named Nichole Hepfer as Director of Budget & Finance. Hepfer most recently served as the County’s Accounting Supervisor, a post she held since 2015.
“I am excited for the opportunity to lead the Budget & Finance Department as we continue working together with the County Administrator and County Commissioners in upholding the County’s strong financial integrity,” said Hepfer.

Nichole stood out because of her many accomplishments while working for the county. She was responsible for the counties financial audit and issuance of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the last 10 years, of which the County continues to receive the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting every year.
Nichole is enthusiastic about helping the department transition to a new software program, creating efficiencies where possible and continuing to serve the changing needs of the County.
Nichole has lived in Maryland her entire life and moved to Queen Anne’s County in 2006 where she currently lives with her husband Frank and three daughters. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and is a certified public accountant and member of MACPA, GFOA and MD GFOA.
