The Washington County Board of County Commissioners this week appointed John Martirano as County Administrator, effective December 28, 2020. Martirano, who previously served as an attorney for Washington County Government, most recently served as chief legal counsel for Washington County Public Schools.
“The Board of County Commissioners is pleased to have John Martirano back with the County, said County Commissioner President Jeffrey Cline. “There were several strong candidates that applied for this position. We are fortunate to have Mr. Martirano as Washington County’s leader and look forward to his guidance as we work together to build a better Washington County.”
“I am looking forward to returning to the County as the new County Administrator. With over half of my life’s work dedicated to Washington County Government, I am excited to hit the ground running as I work closely with the Board of County Commissioners, County staff, and citizens as we move in a forward direction,” said Martirano. “This has been a challenging year for all of us, but together we are looking toward a bright future.
