Wardens Honor Statewide “Officer of the Year” Winners

Caroline County’s “Officer
of the Year” Ky-Asia Pinkett

The Maryland Correctional Administrators Association, MACo’s corrections affiliate organization, has recognized an “Officers and Employees of the Year” winner from each jurisdiction. MACo joins in saluting these outstanding local contributors.

Twenty four correctional officers, selected for their service throughout the year, have been honored by the Maryland Correctional Officers Association for their standout service. The MCAA website includes names and pictures of the local officers so recognized.

Under more “ordinary” circumstances, an awards banquet as part of the Annual MCAA Conference would pay tribute to these employees who have stood out for their service. MCAA, and MACo, will look forward to times where these in-person accolades may again be bestowed as justified.

Thomas D. Reece, Administrator of the Calvert County Detention Center said, “As President of the MCAA I speak for all members in saying thank you each awardee for the hard work and dedication to the their respected agency. The Best of the Best in Corrections for 2020.”

Please visit the MCAA website, and join MACo in thanking and congratulating each officer and employee for his or her contributions.
