We Work For Health MD, a sponsor of MACo’s Summer Series, is working with Maryland’s bio-pharmaceutical industry to find a solution to the coronavirus pandemic.
We Work For Health (WWFH) is a grassroots coalition of patients, health care providers, educators, business leaders, faith-based organizations and community stakeholders who share a common goal of educating our fellow Marylanders about the biopharmaceutical industry’s positive contributions to the economy and society.
From We Work for Health MD:
Over the last several months, Maryland has shown enormous strength by coming together to both help those in need and collaborate to find a solution to COVID-19. The health care and life sciences industries are fighting on the front lines of this pandemic and working around the clock to find new treatments and cures.
We’ve seen the biopharmaceutical industry collaborate with government agencies, hospitals, doctors and others to ensure a robust response to the pandemic. Biopharmaceutical manufacturers are donating supplies, medicines, and providing other resources to those working on the frontlines.
Our Maryland biopharmaceutical manufacturers and life sciences companies are working hard to develop and manufacture new treatments and vaccines for COVID-19. Leaders of companies across the state are collaborating to discuss the hurdles associated with developing these treatments. Company leaders are finding ways that they can contribute and fill in the gaps by offering the use of their facilities, resources, tools, research and diagnostics to help the cause.
We are fortunate in Maryland to have We Work for Health Maryland (WWFH MD) and Maryland Life Sciences (MDLS) members helping lead such an incredible group of researchers, manufacturers and patient advocates who are working tirelessly to protect the public.
The Maryland Life Sciences (MDLS) division of Maryland Tech Council (MTC) is a collaborative community, actively engaged in building stronger life science companies by supporting the efforts of our individual members who are saving and improving lives through innovation.
The WWFH MD and MDLS and all of our member companies stand united in our desire to protect and care for Marylanders. We commend our partners for their relentless commitment to patients–everything from creating education and online support groups to finding cures.
