Local Solutions Support Center is hosting a webinar next Wednesday, July 15th, at 12:00 PM, for local leaders looking for the latest resources to help cities respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and address the racial unrest and calls for police reform sweeping across the country.

Title: Strengthening Local Democracy During COVID-19: New Resources to Advance Economic and Public Health Protection Policies

Description: As the COVID-10 pandemic spreads and states reopen, and as we experience protests and racial unrest across the country, local elected officials are asking what power they have to help their communities across a range of policies. In many cases, they are finding that their local authority to implement such policies is limited, if not entirely preempted. In other cases, they are finding that their authority is not clear and localities may have more power than they know. Working with state partners, LSSC has developed new and innovative tools to support advocates and local elected officials during this challenging time.
