In many cases, they are finding that their local authority to implement such policies is limited, if not entirely preempted. In other cases, they are finding that their authority is not clear and localities may have more power than they know. Working with state partners, LSSC has developed new and innovative tools to support advocates and local elected officials during this challenging time.
