Beginning May 1, Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) will launch Hoopla, a new digital library media streaming platform.

Hoopla will provide MCPL cardholders with immediate access to digital movies, music, e-books, audiobooks, and television. In February, MCPL introduced Overdrive ebook collection in order to provide a system more responsive to county resident requests and needs.m

From the Press Release:

“With the temporary closing of our buildings, there has been an increased demand on our digital resources,” said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo. “Eliminating and combining duplicate services will allow us to better leverage our collection dollars.”

All digital services are free and available 24/7 with a library card.
