The Maryland Department of Labor Division of Unemployment Insurance’s website and call center are experiencing extremely high volumes due to the crisis. The call center hours have been extended and individuals may use the online portal to file their claim. Maryland does not have a waiting week and individuals will become eligible for benefits starting the day after they separated from employment.
