Robbins, Geller, Rudman & Dowd LLP, one of the world’s leading complex litigation firms, has been secured by Frederick and Montgomery counties in the growing class-action suit against electronic cigarette company Juul Labs Inc. and Altria Group, which is a 35 percent stakeholder in Juul and the parent company of Phillip Morris USA.
The two Maryland counties join the state of California, and New York, which both filed suits against the company last week, according to Time magazine. Maryland as a whole has not joined the suit, but a number of other states are looking into litigation of their own.
