Change Is In The Air at #MACoCon

Skipjack Windfarm will host a session on wind energy at MACo’s Summer Conference as part of MACo’s Solutions Showcase.

MACo’s 2019 Summer Conference, “Winds of Change,” will take place on August 14-17 at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, MD. Nearly 3,000 individuals from across Maryland will gather to discuss advancements and changes being seen at all levels of government, from cybersecurity to Phase III WIP to school funding.

The Skipjack Wind Farm – Change Is In The Air

The Skipjack Wind Farm is one of two approved offshore wind farms off the coast of Delmarva. Based nearly 19 miles off the coast of the Maryland and Delaware border, the Skipjack Wind Farm will provide clean energy to roughly 35,000 homes on the Eastern Shore and will establish Maryland as a regional hub for offshore wind and clean energy incentives. This means big gains for Maryland – not just in clean, renewable energy, but in boosting job creation and our state economy. Join this session to learn more about this clean energy source, how it became an option for Maryland, and what it means for our state…and your county.

Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 12:15 pm – 12:45 pm

Room 210, Roland Powell Convention Center, Ocean City, MD
