4 Reminders You Need to See Before #MACoCon

Hundreds of local government stakeholders will gather to learn about county priorities, issues, and solutions at MACo’s Winter Conference

MACo’s Winter Conference is coming up on January 2-4, 2019. Here are a few reminders you don’t want to miss…

1. REGISTER!
If you haven’t registered yet, do it soon! You don’t want to miss this. Our current low rates are available through December 21.

2. Reserve your discounted hotel room

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS: Reserve a room at the Holiday Inn (about 1.5 miles from the the Hyatt) by calling 410-221-9900. Ask for the Maryland Association of Counties block: the rate is $102 per room per night, plus tax. Or, register online, and use code MCO to receive the group rate.

3. Plan to visit our exhibit hall
Our exhibits are almost sold out! Our nearly 50 exhibitors will be ready to share their cost-saving programs and services with you!

Women of MACo Reception: Wednesday, January 2, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
All women attending the conference are invited to participate in this networking event. RSVP by December 26.

Rural County Coalition Lunch: Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Rural county elected officials and professional staff are invited to attend to discuss rural issues and solutions. RSVP by December 26.

Large County Coalition Lunch: Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Large county elected officials and professional staff are invited to attend to discuss challenges and solutions for larger jurisdictions. RSVP by December 26.

The Diversity Caucus Reception: Thursday, January 3, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
All attendees are invited to attend and discuss diversity and inclusion in local government. RSVP by December 26.

MACo’s Book Club! We’ll be reading City on the Line by Andrew Kleine. Participants will receive a FREE copy of the book before the conference and then discuss it with fellow readers at the conference. A facilitator will help guide participants in analyzing the book and sharing experiences, reactions, and insights. RSVP or email Nicolette Querry to receive your copy of the book.
