Cecil County plans to extend opportunities for collaboration with its towns on procurement, human resources, legal services, public works and information technology – and the towns plan to reciprocate.
In the coming weeks, the County administration will work with the towns to devise a strategy to assist with specific issues. “The County will facilitate meetings with the towns to offer more productive ways to discuss possible alliances,” said Director of Administration Al Wein.
The County indicates that town leaders agreed to work in conjunction with the County and offer their guidance and services when available.
“When the County helps the towns and the towns assist the County and we all work together, it improves our community as a whole,” noted County Executive Alan McCarthy. “Good business and community relationships will help us all to move the County in a more positive direction.”
