MD PRIMA Meeting Looks at Safety Committees, 2017 Session

The Maryland Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) is holding its next meeting on Friday, January 20 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Dutch Daughter’s Restaurant in Frederick, Maryland. Registration is $30 for PRIMA members and $45 for non-members. The cost includes breakfast refreshments and lunch. Topics include  establishing effective safety committees and a 2017 Session update. Safety Committees have the potential of playing a major role in communicating your risk management program. Effective communication is a key factor in developing cost effective strategies to manage the risk of your organization. This session will present the viewpoint that there are no problems in risk management, only opportunities for improvement in Safety Committee programming. Learn effective communication techniques to maximize the star power of your safety team members and the role you play as leader and confidant. This session will provide you with hands on methods for you to take home to meet the challenges of unfunded mandates and help you identify the changing needs of your aging workforce and its workplace injuries.
