Counties Join Forces to Host Opioids Addiction Summit

Harford County Executive Barry Glassman, Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman, and Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh will host a Tri-County Opioids Addiction Summit featuring panel discussions on public health partnerships, drug court programs, the neurobiology of addiction and law enforcement collaboration.

Special guests to include Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford and keynote speaker WBAL radio and television sportscaster Keith Mills. The Lt. Governor will outline statewide efforts to combat opioid and heroin abuse, and Mills will discuss his personal battle with addiction.

Registered participants will also have the opportunity to be trained on the use of Naloxone to counter an opioid overdose.

The event will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m at Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, MD.
