The National County Explorer from the National Association of Counties has added new data to its map, including library data.
According to the research, Maryland’s counties fund libraries at a higher rate than many local governments. When considering the percent of operating revenue that a library receives from local governments, most of Maryland’s counties score in the top 20% of all county governments nationwide, and all of Maryland’s counties are in the top 60%.
