Top Website Awards For Maryland, and Two Local Counties

The Center for Digital Government’s 2016 Best of the Web and Digital Government Achievement Award presented top awards to three government websites in Maryland. Maryland won first place in the State Portal category, Baltimore County won first place in the County Portal category, and Anne Arundel County won third place in the county category.

According to WTOP,

“Government websites have changed a lot over the past 20 years and so have citizen expectations,” said Todd Sauder, executive director of the Center for Digital Government.

“This year’s winners are well positioned to take up the challenge of a new era and lead the impending transformation toward more integrated, anticipatory and personalized electronic services,” he said.

The Digital Government Achievement Awards were presented in 20 categories this year.
