As described by the Anne Arundel County Public Library to its cardholders,
The future of the Anne Arundel County Public Library system looks brighter today after the unveiling of the proposed FY 2017 county budget by County Executive Steve Schuh.
The update from the Library states that the County Executive proposed:
- $1 million increase in the library’s materials budget phased in over the next three years,
- $350,000 for repairs and renovations to library facilities, and
- $180,000 for the creation of a new facilities master plan.
The County Council will review the budget and hold public hearings to discuss the proposals in May with the final FY 2017 budget approved by June 15. The Council’s website will announce budget process details.
