Through its Heroin Task Force initiative Anne Arundel County has launched “Denial is Deadly” a multi-media, heroin and opioid abuse prevention campaign.
As reported in The Capital Gazette:
The Opioid Misuse Communication Campaign is “aimed at educated citizens on the dangers of heroin and opioid abuse as well as providing information about treatment and recovery resources,” according to news release from the county executive’s office.
“As we fight heroin addiction in every corner of our county, we need to continue to educate all our citizens about how this drug destroys lives and families,” County Executive Steve Schuh said. “This multimedia campaign will help educate our county and hopefully prevent addiction before it starts.”
