As a follow-up to the recent news of Andrea Mansfield’s departure as MACo’s Legislative Director, MACo and the lobbying firm Manis Canning & Associates are pleased to announce a client relationship for the 2016 session ahead. Andrea Mansfield will continue to serve MACo and county governments on a range of fiscal and transportation issues for the 2016 legislative session.
“With her knowledge of MACo’s issues and process, this is clearly a great benefit to the counties and our advocacy efforts,” said Executive Director Michael Sanderson. The lobbying relationship is not one that MACo has engaged in past years, but the specifics of the situation for 2016 made the transitional arrangement attractive. “We know that she is knowledgeable and effective on our issues, and we’ll need that heading into an important session,” Sanderson said.
The policy position currently vacant on the MACo staff will be filled in the spring. Current candidates will be notified of the temporary arrangement and the change in timing for the vacant role.
Members with questions on the lobbying relationship of the plan for county representation are invited to contact Michael Sanderson at the MACo offices for further information.
