Montgomery County’s Floreen Elected President, Berliner Elected Vice President on Council

Montgomery County council members have elected Nancy Floreen as Council President and Roger Berliner as Council Vice President.

Councilmember Craig Rice nominated Floreen as President and Councilmember Tom Hucker nominated Berliner at the Council’s Dec. 1st meeting.

Bother Floreen and Berliner will serve a one-year term.

Floreen said economic development, closing the achievement gap and protecting the environment would  be some of the top issues on the Council’s agenda in 2016.
