MACo is seeking an Associate Director (professional policy/advocacy position) to join our Policy Team to advocate policy before the Maryland General Assembly, and to inform and serve county officials.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and oral communication skills, will have a familiarity with Maryland state and local government, and will have a strong computer proficiency. Some of the responsibilities will include policy analysis and research, conference support, writing content for Conduit Street News Blog, and liaison with county professional organizations. MACo is a non-profit and non-partisan organization that serves Maryland’s counties by articulating the needs of local government to the Maryland General Assembly. The Association’s membership consists of county elected officials and representatives from Maryland’s 23 counties and Baltimore City.
