Montgomery County Recognized for Procurement Excellence

For the third year in a row, Montgomery County’s Office of Procurement has received the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute (NPI). The NPI award program evaluates innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of public procurement organizations.

From the county’s press release,

“This award confirms we are meeting the needs of our residents while retaining the County government’s status as good stewards of taxpayer dollars,” said County Executive Ike Leggett.

The Office of Procurement is one of only six agencies in Maryland that received this award. The recognition encourages the development of excellence, as well as continued organizational improvement.

Frederick and Howard Counties also received the Achievement in Excellence in Procurement Award.
