As reported by the Baltimore Sun,

Rawlings-Blake, 45, wants to focus on preparing the city for the upcoming trials facing the six officers involved in Gray’s arrest and death, sources close to the mayor say. She briefed her Cabinet and staff this morning, and has no plans to seek another office.

The mayor abandons her re-election campaign amid a growing field of Democratic challengers in the April primary, including former Mayor Sheila Dixon, state Sen. Catherine Pugh and City Councilman Carl Stokes.

Rawlings-Blake became mayor in February 2010 and was elected to her first term in 2012. She served on the City Council for 15 years, including 3 years as president.
