MACo Summer Conference Begins With Planning Commission & Boards of Appeal Training

The 2015 MACo Summer Conference began with an early start (8:30 AM) on August 12 with the Maryland Department of Planning (MDP) and the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association conducting their training course for planning commissioners and boards of appeals members.  State law requires all county and municipal planning commissioners and boards of appeals members to take the training course and it is offered at both the MACo and Maryland Municipal League conferences. Several county elected officials also attended.

Speakers included MDP Eastern Shore Regional Planner Keith Lackie, MDP Eastern Shore Regional Planner Tracey Gordy, MDP Deputy Director of Planning Services Chuck Boyd, and Former Wicomico County Attorney Edgar “Ed” Baker.
