Kent County introduced Shelley Herman as its new County Administrator this week, recognizing her substantial experience in Maryland local government. Ms. Herman has most recently served as the Town of Centreville’s Director of Finance, but previously served as a Circuit Rider Town Manager with the Maryland Rural Development Council.

Former County Administrator and County Attorney Ernie Crofoot resigned from his county role in the spring, and the County Commissioners underwent a search for a replacement.

The Commissioners also appointed Thomas Yeager to serve as the County Attorney, a role he previously held until 2012. Mr. Yeager carries several municipal governments among his clients, and has a broad knowledge of local government issues.
