Carroll Commissioner Frazier Files as Write-In Candidate for General Election

Carroll County Commissioner Robin Bartlett Frazier has filed as a write-in candidate for District 1 in the November general election. Commissioner Frazier lost the Republican nomination in the June primary election and has been serving on the Board of Commissioners since 2010.

“What I really think is important is that I wanted to raise awareness on government union strategy that’s not only happening in Carroll County but it’s happening all across the United States,” Frazier said. “What occurred [in the primary] was a collaboration between government unions… [to target] candidates that are in favor of privatization, deregulation and tax cutting. That would describe me.”

Frazier will face Wantz and Democratic challenger Jackie Jones in the Nov. 4 general election. Frazier previously served on the board from 1998 to 2002.
