Comptroller Peter Franchot Discusses Maryland’s Fiscal Future

Comptroller Peter Franchot was a recent guest on “Center Maryland: Inside Out” to discuss taxes, debt and Maryland’s fiscal future.

In commenting about the State’s fiscal situation, Comptroller Franchot said the following,

I’ve said every year we need to be cautious and set money aside and it will get better. Its been six years and  it hasn’t gotten better. I’d like to suggest we take a two to three-year time out on unpredictable fiscal issues to let the private sector stabilize and focus on employment growth, wage growth and economic growth the State is accustomed to.
