St. Mary’s Commissioner Larry Jarboe filed to run for Maryland State Senator representing the 29th District on February 18, 2014.  District 29 covers St. Mary’s and southern Calvert counties.

Jarboe, 61, is serving his third consecutive term as the county commissioner representing northern St. Mary’s and is prohibited by term limits from running for that job again. He was also county commissioner from 1994 to 1998.

Commissioner Jarboe is currently in the primary along with Steve Waugh, Senator Roy Dyson (currently holds the 29th District seat) and St. Mary’s Commissioner Cindy Jones.
