The MACo staff gave testimony this week on the following bills:
January 23, 2014:
MACo supported the leading “dangerous dog” bill, seeking amendments to clarify and expand liability protections for trained dogs used by public safety agencies.
- SB91: State Ethics Commission – Local Governments and School Boards – Compliance Enforcement testimony
MACo supported this bill making procedural reforms to state ethics laws, but sought refinements to avoid a substantive reversal of the “burden of proof” in the event the State Ethics Commission concludes a local jurisdiction is out of compliance.
